Khairul Hazwan Aman

Marathoner / Running Coach

We are delighted to have Khairul Hazwan Aman as our December 2022 brand ambassador! Khairul, also widely known as Cici is a passionate runner from Pasir Gudang, Johor. Cici is a coach with the Garmin Running Club Malaysia and is also a pacer with Puma Malaysia. In 2020, Cici started his own coaching program “Breaking the Limit (BTL)” to teach new and seasoned runners on how to improve and break their limits in running.

With Beet It Sport, I am able to train better using my own program. It helps to improve my stamina and endurance to complete my long runs & it allows me to feel easier during my speed work sessions and on race days.

1. How did you get involved in sports / running?

I started with multiple cross trainings, namely futsal, muay thai and hiking to build up my fitness prior to 2015. Since then, I fell in love with running and joined my first running event in February 2016 (this was the Ambank 12km run). With each year, it became my passion to challenge myself to break my Personal Best (2.4km, 5km, 10km, HM & FM).

 

2. What is your biggest motivation to keep pushing your limits of performance?

For my students: if I do not show them how to do it, how can they learn it right?

For my friend: run is fun. Even on a hard day, you know that you’re gonna break something – your limitation.

 

3. What’s your best achievement so far?

Half Marathon (HM): 1:26:05

Full Marathon (FM): 3:08:36

 

4. What do you hope achieve in the coming year?

Ultimately, I want to break my personal best records which is to achieve a sub 1:25 in HM & a sub 3:00 in FM, and to show people that nothing is impossible. Either we want to do it, or we let people do it and we just see it happened.

 

5. How did you hear of Beet It Sport?

I heard about it from @awanrun. He used to be my running coach/idol/reference. So whatever he said, I believed him.

 

6. Why do you use Beet It Sport and how has it helped you?

With Beet It Sport, I am able to train better using my own program. It helps to improve my stamina and endurance to complete my long runs & it allows me to feel easier during my speed work sessions and on race days.

 

7. Anything additional you would like to add about Beet It Sport?

Many of my students and friends admit that beet root juice has an impact on our fitness. We prefer Beet It Sport because:

There is no need to prepare & “battle” with beetroot in the kitchen because cutting it can cause such a mess!!
