Beet It Sport has helped me in increasing my energy levels and stamina. I always consume a shot of Beet It Sport before training and before races.

1. Have you always been active in sports?

I did not come from any particular fitness background, but started doing bodybuilding and HIITS after knowing that I was diagnosed with fatty liver when I was 21 years old. Since then, all that has changed and I now work out 5-6 times each per week. It has become a habit.

2. How did you get involved in OCR?

I saw a FB advertisement about Spartan Race and decided to try it out as I thought Spartan Race would be more interesting than just a normal road running event. I asked two of my friends to join me. We had no idea what an obstacle race was. I ended up doing 180 burpees and the Spartan Super race lasted for 4 hours!

3. We are coming to an end to 2020, and it has been an unprecedented year. How has Covid-19 impacted your workout and how did you adjust?

Covid-19 has certainly impacted my workout as I didn’t have access to tracks and gyms like I normally do, especially when MCO (Movement Control Order) was implemented. I decided to buy some functional and sports equipment such as kettlebells and a treadmill to keep my workout going. I also modified some of my exercise routines. Most importantly, I thank my coaches, Raj Ahmed and Johnny Tieu for monitoring me and for helping me to set up my training schedule in this difficult time.

4. What is your biggest motivation to keep pushing your limits of performance?

My biggest motivation is to see how far I can go in sports. The sense of achievement I gain after breaking my own limits motivates me to work even harder and go even further.

5. What do you hope to achieve in the coming year?

I hope I can break my personal best in 5km, 10km and 21km runs and achieve podiums in the Spartan Races Age Category.

6. What would you advise to someone new to OCR?

I would advise someone new to OCR to train his/her hand and grip strength, to work on hill running and long run. Most of the obstacles require grip strength while OCR involves running in 70% of the race.

7. What are your top three nutrition tips?

My top three nutrition tips are to consume enough water, to take multivitamins and fish oil as well as plenty of vegetables and fruits.

8. How has Beet It Sport helped your sporting performance?

Beet It Sport has helped me in increasing my energy levels and stamina. I always consume a shot of Beet It Sport before training and before races.

9. Anything additional you would like to say about Beet It Sport?

Beet It Sport has been my favourite sport nutrition drink for the last two years. It helped boost my athletic performance and I’m looking forward to achieving more with Beet It Sport!
