Q&A With Tahira Najmunisaa Muhammad Zaid
1. You’re a national athlete, a mother of four and a loving wife. How do you balance everything together?
Balancing everything as a mother and as an athlete is not easy. But as long as you have discipline and is able to manage your time properly, it should be alright. I do struggle every day to keep the balance but I also always give and take, and allow a bit of flexibility in my training time. So I am able to get things done. Now, as the kids are bigger, it gets easier for me.
2. Today 8th of March, is International Women’s Day. Do you have a message for the women out there?
If I can overcome my challenges, so can you!
3. What motivates you to train and compete at the elite level?
It’s simply the love of sports! I just really love sports and I want to be able to see how far I can go with it.
4. How did you hear about Beet It Sport?
I’ve known about the benefits of beetroot juice for some time, and actually press my own juice. I first used Beet It Sport during the SEA Games held in Hanoi, Vietnam in 2022.
5. How has Beet It Sport helped your sporting performance?
I noticed that my body experienced less fatigue and I was able to push harder after taking Beet It Sport. Energy wise, it was also better. The shots are really convenient – they don’t require refrigeration and each time I take it, I’m assured of 400mg of nitrates.
