We’re absolutely delighted to have Haziq Hamzah on board as our February ambassador. This lanky young man hails from Kajang, Selangor and works in the IT sector. He has been running since school days and continues to improve so much so, that you will often see him on podiums.

Q&A With Haziq Hamzah

1. How did you get involved in sports / running?

I represented my school in cross country running, but stopped running after I finished high school. I started running again 7 years after high school, with my first event being the Energizer Night Run. Ever since then, I have been obsessed with road and trail running, half marathons, full marathons and ultra-marathons. The longest run I did was 100km, both on the road and on trail. In 2021 I started a runstreak challenge where I would run every single day without rest. I experienced a lot of improvements in my running as I was doing the runstreak. I am still running every day, and as I am being interviewed now, I am on my 760th days of runstreak. 

2. What is your biggest motivation to keep pushing your limits of performance?

I think it’s just because I love running so much, I don’t know what else I would be doing without it. I also believe I have the potential to be one of the best marathoner in Malaysia and I don’t want to waste that potential. That drives me to continue pushing my limit.

3. What’s your best achievement so far?

  • 2:45:28 Full Marathon (KLSCM 2022)
  • 1:17:35 Half Marathon (MPKJ HM 2022)

4. What do you hope achieve in the coming year?

I hope to break 2:40 in FM and 1:15 in HM this year.
I dream of representing Malaysia in full marathon one day.

5. How did you hear of Beet It Sport?

I randomly saw it on Instagram and I made my research and realized how beneficial and easy it was to use it.

6. Why do you use Beet It Sport and how has it helped you?

7. Anything additional you would like to add about Beet It Sport?

Probably the thing I love the most about Beet It Sport is how easy it is to use it. I used to buy beetroot from the supermarket and cut it myself, which was quite a hassle. Now I’m happy because I can just simply pour Beet It and drink. 😂
